NeTEx is an XML based European Standard which provides a means to exchange data for passenger information such as stops, routes, timetables and fares, together with related operational data. Its the first systematically engineered standard that also covers multimodal Fares.

In 2018 a series of workshop was held to introduce NeTEx and the approach being taken to develop a UK profile for fares based on the NeTEx Standard.
